COVID-19

COVID-19 is unlikely to cause a serious illness in children, but please remember that children can still become seriously unwell from other causes that are always around. Please DO NOT let concerns over COVID-19 stop you from contacting medical services. If you are not sure if your child needs to be seen, please click this link or contact 111 or your GP.

IF YOUR CHILD BECOMES SERIOUSLY UNWELL CALL 999 OR GO TO A&E.

The above is the same for adults. If you become unwell, seek medical help via 111 or you GP. Please call 999 or A&E if you become seriously ill.
DO NOT let the fears of COVID-19 stop you.

Your COVID Recovery:

As you find yourself recovering from Covid-19 you may still be coming to terms with the impact the virus has had on both your body & mind. These changes should get better over time, some may take longer than others, but there are things you can do to help. Your COVID recovery helps you understand what has happened and what you might expect as part of your recovery. For more information please use the following link.

To reduce your chances of catching COVID-19 and reduce pressure on your local GP practice during this busy time, appointments will be carried out over the phone or through eConsult unless there is a clinical need for you to come into the practice. This will help minimise risk while continuing to ensure people get the care and advice they need.

We currently have members of our team off work as a result of being unwell or self-isolating - this clearly affects our ability to maintain our service. Please be patient with staff who are doing their very best.

We are receiving very large numbers of requests for medication - much more than we would normally expect. Many of the requests are a long way ahead of when they are due. Please DO NOT order medication too soon and please DO NOT stockpile. Patients who are ordering too much or too early are putting the health of others at risk.

We are receiving a lot of medication requests on paper - we want to reduce that as much as possible to protect our staff. We would prefer online requests - obviously our staff shortages mean that answering the phone to take medication requests will take them away from other tasks.

If you have been allocated a time for a face to face appointment please DO NOT arrive too early for the appointment - you will either have to wait in your car or outside the building. We do not want the waiting room full of patients as it places patients and staff at risk. Some patients coming to the surgery will have underlying health conditions that place them at high risk and we do not want them to have to share a waiting room with other, potentially infectious, patients.

If you have symptoms of Coronvirus (COVID-19) - Please stay at home and manage your illness there. If you are getting worse you should contact 111 - DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY.

Thank you.
